I had the chance to discuss the outstanding work Dr. Knoester and his team in Kenya have accomplished. This interview has been edited significantly for clarity and length and serves as a short introduction into the project, which continues to grow, providing important primary research in marine science, community support/education, global outreach, and ecosystem-level restoration of marine habitats that may be applicable in oceans around the world.
